With a 15-20 knots north east breeze and an ebb tide, on a sunny summer afternoon, the Balmain Slake team sailed with purpose across Sydney Harbour in the first race (Race 4: 18ft Skiff NSW Championship) of 2023.
As other skiffs experienced difficulties, some capsizing, the Balmain team revelled in the conditions to finished with a much improved fifth place, moving them up the overall rankings.
